Review our human resources resume samples below for suggested phrasing, structure, and content when you apply to an internship or entry-level job. Remember that the examples below are meant as guides only. Your resume needs to reflect your value-add for the specific role to which you’re applying. Use a format that speaks to you, and include your unique academic and professional achievements.

To increase your odds of a callback, ensure that your marketing resume:

  • Highlights your experience in public relations and advertising, whether from jobs, extracurricular activities, or volunteer roles. Any marketing experience is critical for getting noticed by a hiring manager. Include details of social media marketing training and experience.
  • Specifies training (particularly advanced coursework) directly tied to marketing, advertising, and accounts management.
  • Identifies specific advertising campaigns you led or participated in and provides numbers as metrics of success (e.g., Designed and implemented an ad campaign, yielding a 15% increase in subscribers for News Depot magazine).
