Minus 21 Magazine takes a deeper look into the forces that will shape tomorrow, that is, the thoughts, motivations, and ideas held by the youth of today. A platform for modern youthful expression, Minus 21 Magazine delivers entertainment, news, and more from the perspective of today's politically, spiritually, musically, and sexually diverse generation of "thinking teens and young adults."

Minus 21 Magazine is in search of talented volunteer writers to join our team. If you're a creative writer with your own style, an ear to the street, and an eye on the culture, submit your articles for us to consider! We'll give you an opportunity to showcase your skills to the world.


- Submit articles (750-1,000 words) on assigned topics

- Write individual articles based on subject matter as commissioned by Minus21 Magazine, and of personal or public interest

- Edit and revise work in response to feedback

- Ability to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

- Conduct background research via internet, site visits, and/or or interviews

- Love for Writing

- Exceptional writing and editing skills, sharp analytic skills, meticulous attention to detail and factual accuracy, and ability to conduct internet research

- Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and problem solving skills

- Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Experience/interest in Social Media and blogging

*Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts is a plus
