DescriptionThe creators of a new comedic web series are in need of a creative, innovative, proactive social media & marketing intern!
About the series:
"No Method" (http://www.nomethodseries.com) is a semi-autobiographical dark comedy that follows the exploits of a cynical Brooklyn actor as her life careens toward rock bottom. Our show has been called "Louie from a female perspective" and has been compared to HBO's "Girls" and "Seinfeld." At the helm of the show is a group of ambitious, talented, and most importantly, nurturing women.
With the help of the right intern, we will get our show out to many more people, build our fanbase, and eventually become a very big deal!
We are definitely looking for someone who has a lot of ideas and who can help us come up with new strategies for spreading the word about our series. You'll have the opportunity to work with the creators very collaboratively.
We plan on doing ongoing fundraising, so there is definitely room to grow in this position.
Responsibilities-Daily social media management (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) - This includes daily postings, strategic postings around special events and premieres, coming up with new outreach strategies, and finding the best ways to engage our viewers
-Updates to official web site and mailing list
-Brainstorming ideas for upcoming fundraisers, including crowdfunding via Kickstarter for the rest of the first season
-Research of press and PR opportunities, such as video and print interviews with the cast and creators, blog reviews, and feature articles in relevant publications
-Research of potential festivals for submission, local screenings, listings, grants, and other opportunities and making initial contacts
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:
-Strong social media passion, knowledge, and presence (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr)
-A working knowledge of Kickstarter and other crowdfunding platforms
-Creative ideas for how to increase our presence online and reach our target audiences
-Experience working in entertainment (film, TV, new media, or theatre)
-Knowledge of the logistics of making and promoting a web series (not required)
-A great sense of humor
The ideal candidate will also be:
-Extremely organized and motivated
-Passionate about entertainment, especially women in entertainment
-Able to work remotely and independently with little supervision
