We are the #1 online parenting resource in the East Valley. We host several Mom's Night Out events, playdates and family fun days a year. We are seeking a qualified intern to join our team to assist in planning, organizing and marketing our upcoming events for the 2015 year and beyond. Expected time commitment is 7-10 hours a week.

A majority of the work will be virtual (work from your home) however, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 4 hours a week working from a home based office with a member of our executive team.

We have several upcoming events scheduled that would require you to work at these events. (Dates include 2/24; 3/21 or 3/28; 4/26 & 5/13); time at event is approximately 4 hours.

It is preferred that you are able to start by the end of February 2015 and be available until at least the end of May 2015. We are able to sign off if college credit is needed.


*Design flyers and other marketing materials for events.
*Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials.
*Attend and contribute ideas to event planning meetings.
*Works with staff and volunteers on event day to ensure event's success.
*Complete an event summary report.
*Enter vendor and sponsor information into contact management systems.
*Other duties will be assigned as necessary.


As a marketing & event planning intern you should be a proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently. An outgoing personality and ability to interact with local business owners, as well as members of our readership community. You should be working towards degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Journalism. In addition, you should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an extensive knowledge of Web and social media, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, WordPress, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
