The Human Resources Intern will assist the HR team with day-to-day human resource functions and responsibilities that are crucial to the organization. He/She will be required to engage with employees at various levels of the organization and will serve as a valuable resource to employees with HR related questions and/ or concerns. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to core HR functions and to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to real-world Human Resource experiences.
ResponsibilitiesMAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support recruitment initiatives by updating the recruitment system, printing/emailing resumes, scheduling interviews and maintain recruitment tracking spreadsheet. Post job ads, review and update job postings and descriptions as directed. Support communication to candidates as needed
•Coordinate the scheduling for new employee orientation and prepare information packets
•Work with Facilities Coordinator in setting up and maintaining office seating for new hires
•Provide administrative support to the New York HR Manager & VP, HR and Operations
•Provide assistant with the upkeep of the HRIS systems
•Assist in HR department compliance audits as necessary
•Provide employment verification information for current and prior employees
•Assist with the organization and delivery of HR-related announcements and communications and/or employee events
•Create and maintain employee files; ensure accuracy of electronic records
•Other duties and special projects as assigned
PAID/UNPAID INTERNSHIP: Unpaid.
START DATE: Immediate consideration.
TIME COMMITMENT: 20-40 hours per week

Requirements•Junior/Senior in college working on a business degree, preferably HR related. New grads are welcome to apply
•Passionate about HR and willingness to learn
•Must have a high level of professionalism with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with a high level of quality and productivity
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Strong customer/employee service skills
•Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel required)
•Applicable HR coursework or work/intern experience
•Must be able to commit to at least 20 hours per week(days are flexible)
