Internship

Red King Productions and The Homestead Channel serve as the production arm of The Homestead at Hardison Mill. The Homestead is a combination of several businesses and venues on a historic 100-acre farm in Columbia, TN (just 45 mins south of Nashville). Homestead Hall is the concert venue with a variety of music acts, conferences, and events that we film year round. The Homestead School is a one room school that operates during the school year that we sometimes create stories for. The Homestead Festival is an annual event with speakers and concerts that's held at the farm. The Homestead Channel is our OTT app where subscribers can watch our TV shows, films, speaker sessions, and live streams. 

We are looking for a part-time intern at our production studios/offices located in Columbia, TN. As the production intern, you will be working on an active production team handling research, editing, and shooting projects as assigned. Job duties are dependent on the current project load. Ideal candidates will need the skill sets to perform editing and shooting projects. The intern candidate will work on a wide range of jobs including drafting internal office documents, production assistance, organizing files, and general office upkeep. The RKP Intern should be comfortable with production equipment as well as office software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Google Drive) and be willing and ready to learn. Candidates with a hard-working attitude and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks are preferred. The intern position provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on job experience and build your production resume. Red King offers flexible hours and a friendly work environment. Note, this is a part-time, unpaid internship for a period of 3-4 months.

Duties:

-Shooting and editing short form stories, classes, and concerts at the farm and Homestead Hall

-Research projects

-Provide assistance as needed in all components of the production, including sound, lighting, camera, editing, and post-production

-Administrative tasks include: data entry, gear organization, running errands, organizing supplies, props, and equipment, as needed

-Perform other duties as requested by staff

-Assist with administrative tasks as needed
