Summer Intern, Accounting & Finance

Description
Velodyne Lidar is looking for a highly motivated individual who is up for playing a hybrid role supporting the Accounting and Finance teams this summer. As an Accounting & Finance Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the two departments on their day-to-day tasks, projects, and any ad hoc requests that may come up. The right person will be a true team player, eager to learn, and will have the ability to adapt appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assisting the Accounting and Finance departments with various reporting needs.
- Producing Ad-Hoc reports and financial analysis.
- Posting entries in Microsoft Dynamics.
- Reconciling customer balances.
- Investigating inter company variances.
- Assisting with monthly bank reconciliations.
- Miscellaneous data clean up.
- Collaborating and working closely with other Teads interns on a group project that will be presented at the end of the internship

Requirements
- College students in their Junior or Senior year with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of Digital Marketing/Advertising is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Excellent analytics and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to synthesize data and convey information in a meaningful way.
- Has good communication skills and is a team player.
- Some knowledge in data analysis and database systems.
