The Voice For The Animals Foundation is looking for a motivated, dynamic social media intern who loves animals to remotely join our Santa Monica, California-based team. You will be working closely with our Social Media Manager to develop and implement promotional campaigns to boost public awareness of the Voice For The Animals Foundation’s many animal advocacy programs. 


The duties and responsibilities of our Social Media Intern include:


  • Assist with the design, writing and execution of social media campaigns
  • Create editorial calendars to promote Voice For The Animals’ animal advocacy programs on various social media platforms
  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets 
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns
  • Research social media platforms for opportunities to expand the messaging of The Voice For The Animals Foundation 


Strong written communication skills are essential. Ideal candidate should be able to dedicate 10+ hours a week. This pro bono opportunity is ideal for students (College Credit available to those who qualify!) or recent graduates in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English or Digital Media.This internship offers a unique hands-on experience for those with a passion for content, particularly in social media, copywriting and PR. Candidates must be independent, think outside the square, organized and detail-oriented. Experience with video editing and content platforms (specifically Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok etc.) is a plus. Must have a go geterattitude, along with a strong love of animals and interest in animal rights issues.
