The Copywriting Internship position involves practice & training in reading & writing business documents & marketing advertisements for various companies. This position requires good communication skills, both written and verbal, an understanding of punctuation, and creativity. We need individuals who are professional, adaptable, and open-minded. Below is an overview of the tasks this position calls for:
Interviewing – You will be required to interview business professionals to gain a better understanding of them, their business, and their business culture. You will be given the opportunity to assist in adjusting the question list prior to the interview. Interviews may take place over the phone, at the client’s location, or at the studio.
Writing – You will be required to generate articles, blog content, and other documents that are meant for marketing purposes. These documents will contain much of the information gathered during your interview process with clients.
Proofreading – You will be given existing documents to proofread, check for spelling or grammatical errors. Marketing material may also be sent to you for approval on spelling & grammar.
Writing Critiques – You will be asked to review other articles and documents to identify the stronger versus weaker components. This will help you further develop your writing skills.
Business Administration – You will be groomed to properly answer phones, send emails, light cleaning tasks and communicate with clients & team members.
Managing Social Media – You will be given a marketing plan and be required to post regularly on social media platforms on behalf of Jordan Mac Companies. Here you will be given the chance to demonstrate your skills in developing and maintaining an effective online presence.
Our internship program lasts 6 months. During that time, you will be required to work 2 days a week for a minimum of 8 hours each day. While this is a non-paid internship, we are looking for candidates who are available for employment upon the completion of the internship. Employment is to be determined by how well the intern performs, and the standing of Jordan Mac Studios.
