Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic legal intern to join our firm for a 12 week internship. As a legal intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and insight into the legal profession. You will work closely with our legal team on a variety of projects and tasks related to Immigration Law, Civil Rights, Employment Discrimination, as well as Wills and Trusts. This internship offers the chance to enhance your legal skills, learn about our practice areas, and contribute to our team's success. This is an unpaid fully remote internship 1-2 days a week.
Requirements
Legal Research: Conduct legal research using online tools to support attorneys in case preparation and legal analysis.
Drafting Documents: Assist in drafting legal documents, including contracts, agreements, motions, USCIS forms, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
Client Support: Provide administrative support to attorneys, including organizing and maintaining client files, scheduling appointments, and preparing meeting materials.
Case Management: Assist in managing and organizing case files, including maintaining a docket, tracking deadlines, and coordinating document production.
Legal Writing: Prepare legal memoranda, summaries, and reports on legal issues, regulations, and case developments.
Compliance and Due Diligence: Assist in due diligence processes, compliance checks, and document reviews as needed.
Legal Assistance: Provide general administrative support to the legal team.
