The Graphic Design Internship position involves training & practice of design concept, drafting, and branding visuals. This position requires an understanding of graphic design, good communication skills, and creativity. We need individuals who are professional, adaptable, and open-minded. Below is an overview of the tasks this position calls for:
Design Concept – You will receive conceptual ideas for a design, brand, and/or logo & you will be responsible for creating multiple inspiration boards and design options. You may also have the opportunity to join meetings with our CEO and clients to better understand project objectives.
Design Critique – You will be required to analyze different designs & identify the stronger versus weaker elements. These exercises will help further develop your design skills & understand the qualities of a strong, positive image.
Designing – You will be provided project briefings/design notes and be required to use different programs to create website pages and marketing materials. You may also be asked to assist with other interns and staff members in group projects.
Design Execution – You will work directly with our Studio Director and be mentored by our Creative Director. You will be responsible for organizing and saving your design work properly.
Marketing – You may be asked to help assist our marketing team on event and product launches.
Business Administration – You will be groomed to properly answer phones, send emails, do light cleaning tasks, and communicate with customers & team members.
Our internship program lasts 6 months. During that time, you will be required to work 2 days a week for a minimum of 8 hours each day. While this is a non-paid internship, we are looking for candidates who are available for employment upon completion of the internship. Employment will be determined by how well the intern performs and the standing of Jordan Mac Companies.
