The 3-Months Internship program is an extraordinary opportunity to gain hands-on experience and to learn from best-in-class talent at a first-class organization. Experience day to day projects and tasks in Accounting & Finance!. Your time will not only be spent adding significant value to the organization, but you will also get the opportunity to build amazing relationships throughout the organization through a series of Lunch and Learns and Networking Events. The program's focus is to provide insight to what the workforce is like, a taste of the professional sports industry and help guide you to a career suited for you.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Shadow the Accounting & Finance and train in a variety of tasks.


Vendor maintenance in Accounting system ensuring all vendors have a current W9 in the system.


Entering all incoming vendor data from the ClickUp form into GP.


Verbally confirming banking information via outbound call for all vendors set up for ACH or wire payments.


Weekly check run clerical support such as envelope stuffing/mailing and preparing approval batches for check signers.


Manual downloading of invoices.


Distribution of petty cash.


Assist with Day of Game Revenue reporting.


Assess inventory for Authentics items to be sold.


Maintain the Accounting & Finance electronic folder called T:Drive


Create all the invoices to be rolled over for 2023 (B+C, EVSOA, Level 3, The Switch, Bally's)


Assist with scanning receipts provided from Padres employees from the Padres’ Costco Citi card.


Categorization of special event transaction codes for P&L consolidation


Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Must meet the following minimum requirements:


Current college/university student who has completed Sophomore or Junior year by June 2023 OR current graduate student.


Advanced computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).


Experience in and demonstrated ability to use basic office equipment (telephone, fax, copier, etc.)


Organized, able to follow directions and meet all deadlines established.


Consistent, punctual and regular attendance.


Professional image and demeanor


Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.


Strong sense of teamwork; able to create and maintain positive relationships within organization with a wide variety of co-workers.
