The DC Spotlight Newspaper is searching for an intern in the role of news writer/reporter to work locally or virtually.


THE INTERNSHIP POSITION 

Must be an excellent writer with general knowledge of news and politics locally and nationally. 

Must be committed to the entire semester for the internship. Internships are five months in the Spring and Fall and three months during the summer. 

This position involves telecommuting and requires a computer. 

Send a resume and a cover letter. 


This internship will provide experience editing, writing news, reporting news, video recording, interviewing newsmakers and maintaining the website. Possible coverage of the White House. 


This is an unpaid position.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of a high school diploma and pursuing a college degree.

Must be an excellent writer with MS Word proficiency.

Must be knowledgeable of current news events and follow news coverage.

Must be proficient in using the internet and Google.

Must be available for 15 hour work weeks

This internship is unpaid.
