DONOR CARE AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP

This individual will work with the Annual Giving Manager and Development Database Administrator in all aspects of Salesforce CRM database management in order to facilitate proper donor relationships and stewardship. Tasks will include:

  • Assisting with donor database maintenance. This includes merging constituent duplicate records, updating constituent records, linking records and soft crediting participants.
  • Entering constituent data for all individuals and organizations, including address updates, constituent demographics, and relationship links
  • Working with the Development staff to enter notes and actions and set email reminders for donor follow-up and stewardship initiatives
  • Donor acknowledgement – assists with thank you letter compilation. This includes mail merge through CRM, collating envelopes, sealing and stamping letters to be delivered

Candidates interested in applying for this position must be detailed oriented, able to work independently and be familiar with Excel. Ideal for applicants pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurial Studies, Human Resources, Public Administration, or other related fields. All majors are welcome.

Requirements

Internships are available during the Spring 2024 semester and applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. We request a 10-15 hour per week commitment for the duration of the semester by potential internship applicants. To be eligible, potential interns must be enrolled as a student during the period of internship. Internships are also available for course credit (contingent upon university approval). All internships are non-paid. We have openings in our downtown Honolulu office. Qualified applicants must possess strong written and oral communication skills, working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), and demonstrate maturity and responsibility. Ability to handle multiple tasks and possess strong organizational skills is also encouraged.
