Administrative and Community Outreach and Intern

Description
We are looking for a dynamic community outreach and administrative intern. The intern will help us connect with environmental and potential community development projects throughout NYC. Coordinating setup and logistics for Project Petals community engagement events virtually.
Connect with community members and provide support on a variety of assignments, including our youth mentor-ship program, writing, events management, data compilation, marketing, communicatuions research, social media posting, web research, checking emails, data input, placing orders, funding research and answering emails.
Requirements
- Detailed oriented.
- Contact and reach out to potential partners
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong organizational and computer skills (including Internet research) are essential.
- Event coordination and research skills are a plus.
- Help plan environmental project logistics
- Research potential projects and partners
- Must be able to assist with planning, organizing and carrying out multiple functions simultaneously.
- Database experience is a plus.
- Place orders for supplies
- Help connect schools and young people to mentors
- Graphic design experience is a plus.
- Experience with Google docs, Slack and Canva a plus
