Title: Sales Associate Sustainability Intern


Mentor: Owner/Supervisor: Sustainability interns are under the direct supervision of store managers and manager of operations. 


Learning Outcome: Sustainability Interns will display knowledge in the concepts of homeostasis, carrying-capacity, cradle-to-grave recycling, evolutionary processes, inter-generational debt, socio-political adaptation, climate change, ecosystem services, and environmental justice—and understand the relationships between them. 


Principle Duties: The sales associates play the most important single role in customer service, customer relations, cleanliness and maintenance of the store they are assigned to. Sales associates will demonstrate knowledge in environmental awareness, sustainability, and marketing strategies.


Specifically, Sales Associates will:

  1. Demonstrate superior knowledge of the company's retail products.
  2. Demonstrate superior customer relations and service.
  3. Complete daily cleaning assignments and deep cleaning assignments and records after completion.
  4. Complete any miscellaneous store tasks assigned to you from supervisors. 
  5. Complete daily documentation in the daily updates document as needed. This means documenting daily notes each shift including but not limited to keeping team members in the know of circumstances and special customer requests and needs. 
  6. Document and communicate all store maintenance issues and equipment needs on the daily updates and inform store managers (this includes serving tools needs, cleaning supply needs, ect).
  7. Uphold and perform the highest cleaning and organizational standards on the sales floor and in the back stock areas. 
  8. Attend the Mandatory Monthly Meetings.
  9. Be an exemplary example of patience, respect, and due diligence throughout the entirety of your position.
  10. Regular work attendance.
  11. Be a positive and professional representative of Eco Now, LLC.
  12. Report any violation of established procedures of personnel duties to your supervisor.

1. Must be able to lift 50lbs.

2. Ability to assist customers with the highest quality.

3. Follow oral and written directions and write effectively.

4. Accept responsibilities and be a team player by working well with others.
