The academic advisor & enrollment coordinator will join a team of 20 student services professionals who collectively promote access to our programs and integration into the School; advise and support students toward their academic and career goals; innovate to improve the student experience; and facilitate degree completion and career launching. The Student Services Coordinator/Career Advisor serves School of Education undergraduate and graduate students and alumni across diverse majors, professional interests and across a wide range of life experiences and identities. For more information on diversity and inclusion on campus, please visit: Diversity and Inclusion Degree and Area of Specialization: Master's Degree (emphasis in counseling, student affairs, human resource management or relevant field) Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience: * Two or more years of experienceof experience in career advising, student advising or a student support setting. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrated experience working with historically underrepresented students from diverse racial, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds, students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and serve as a student advocate. Preferred Qualifications: * Strong organizational, program planning and development, and counseling experience * Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external constituents. * Knowledge of career development theories, career-related technology and programs. * Analytical and problem solving skills. * Demonstrated knowledge of employment trends and resources. Department(s): A178000-SCHOOL OF EDUCATION/CAREER CENTER Work Type: Full or Part Time: 85% - 100% Appointment Type, Duration: Ongoing/Renewable Salary: Minimum $38,276 ANNUAL (12 months) Depending on Qualifications
