Fashion Assistant Intern Gauge by Design - New York, NY 4 hours agoInternshipEstimated: $14,000 - $19,000 a year Apply Now Skills * Fashion Styling * Microsoft Office * Adobe Photoshop * Adobe Illustrator Gauge by Design Ltd., a knit wear sales and design office is now accepting applications for winter interns. Preference will be given to students in school with a fashion design, marketing, or merchandising major. This is a part time position during regular office hours Monday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM. We are looking for candidates who can commit to a minimum of 2 full days per week. We can work with students who need an internship for school credit. This is a great opportunity to gain real work experience in the fashion industry. Duties include: Sample management: logging samples in and out Maintaining the order and cleanliness of the showroom Assisting the design team with meeting preparation, packing for trips, steaming and folding samples Delivery and pick up of packages to/from customers Maintaining the yarn library Sketching and spec'ing with direction from design team Package shipping Help with incoming and outgoing mail Skills required: Microsoft office suite Adobe suite including Photoshop and Illustrator Must be punctual and reliable Able to navigate the city on foot and via subway Job Type: Internship
