Oceanside Intern - Pharma Technical Operations - Facilities and Engine Oceanside, California - USD Full Time Posted: Monday, 15 April 2019 Oceanside California, United States of America The Position Start Date: Summer 2019 Work Hours: 40 hours per week Location: Oceanside Campus Length of Assignment: 10-12 weeks Job Description : The intern will work with F&E SME's to achieve the following deliverables Develop the procedure to shutdown an existing BL1 heat treatment system and write a feasibility report on replacing it with an anaerobic digestor. Update the site water mass balance and identify unit operations to treat and reduce TDS, Phosphorous, Ammonia and antibiotics. Investigate and present water savings opportunities for the Oceanside site that include targets for achieving Roche sustainability and site financial goals. Qualifications : Current student (at least sophomore standing) Preferred major: environmental engineering or environmental science Intermediate level expertise in using Excel, Work, Power Point Familiar with sustainable concepts for water reuse, irrigation, water treatment Able to interpret drawings and redline to define field conditions Basic understanding of physics, electricity, fluids.
