Project Title: RM Operations Finance Analytics Enhancements Project Scope and Deliverables: The objective of this project is to identify and create Operations Finance analytics which drive a significant business improvement. Such improvements could include: - The RM Operations organization currently has a $2 million dollar cost savings goal for 2016. Create metrics and reports which enable business partners to drive this or other business goal - Support creation of reports and analytics for the RM Operations Analytics project using Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI). Partner with IT and business users to replace existing reports based on Microsoft Access and Excel - Create metrics and analytics which assess the financial impact of improved yield or scrap. Create new or improved Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for freight or expenses. - Create reports and analytics which improve financial close processes Other deliverables include: - Create weekly Tier-3 dashboard reports. Attend reviews and explain results. - Support the RM Operations Analytics project with report testing, definition, and data analysis - Create reports and analytics which answer questions asked by business partners Job Summary: Create and enhance RM Operations Finance metrics, reports, and analytics. Connect business results with financial impacts. Track RM progress towards operational financial metrics, such as scrap, project benefits, and inventory goals. Partner with business leaders to explain performance and identify savings opportunities. Create analytics to improve processes. Principle Responsibilities: * Extract data from LifeCell systems using report writing and database query tools * Use Microsoft Access and Excel to organize and manipulate information. Create reports and analytics using these tools. * Diligently test reports and perform troubleshooting if issues are discovered. Document work done. * Upgrade existing reports and analytics, or create new processes * Support existing business processes * Partner with individuals at all levels of the organization to address needs and improve business results * Analyze business problems and identify solutions. Provide clear explanations of options and work with stakeholders to agree on an approach. * Effectively communicate technical processes in business terms to non-technical RM associates Qualifications Skills and Experience: Successful candidate will have the desire and ability to learn new technologies and business processes. * Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Access, or demonstrated ability to learn similar technologies is required. * Experience extracting and manipulating data is required. SQL skills are preferred. * Knowledge of basic accounting (debits, credits, GL) is required. Knowledge of operations finance (P&L, Inventory valuation, costing standards) is preferred. Experience is a plus. * Knowledge of supply chain concepts (inventory, manufacturing, six-sigma) is preferred. Experience is a plus. * Ability to successfully communicate and work with others is required. Ability to lead, and influence is preferred. Ability to drive results, especially in a business setting, is a plus. * Ability to learn new technical skills and solve problems is required. Ability to understand and solve business problems is a plus.
