Program Overview: Darigold is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our team. The Summer Intern program at Darigold is an 8 12-week program targeted at undergraduates studying in the following fields: Supply Chain Logistics Business Management Manufacturing Operations The intern program is intended to provide students considering a career in supply chain the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. Darigold manufactures fluid milk, butter, cultured products, cheese, whey products and milk powders. The program will combine learning the fundamentals of the supply chain process with one or more specific projects. The program requires a very independent and self-directed person. The intern will be based at our Darigold headquarters in Seattle, WA: Position Logistics: This is a temporary full-time paid position (40 hours/week). The position is primarily regular Monday-Friday hours, however depending on project, training and production requirements, from time to time Interns may be expected to be available to work on weekends. Position start date will be flexible depending on finalists school graduation schedule/vacations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned): Develop a comprehensive understanding of supply chain requirements. Collaborate cross functionally across production planning, logistics, procurement, transportation, manufacturing, operations, customer care and sales. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership skills Ability to work effectively with and through others Ability to learn quickly Enjoys new challenges and opportunities Able to adapt and adjust to multiple demands and changes in the workplace Analytical and conceptual thinking using logic and reason, creativity and strategic thinking & planning Communication skills interpersonal, presentation and written Computer savvy Integration joining people, processes or systems Influencing and negotiation skills Problem solving Education, Experience and Certifications: Currently enrolled in a 4-year Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Business Management or other relevant degree. Preference will be given to second/third year students. Other students will be considered on a case-by-case basis (e.g. masters Program students). Maintain a GPA of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale Good understanding of Microsoft Office and all applications Able to relocate to Seattle, WA Able to work in US without sponsorships Note: Successful interns would be considered for full time employment after graduation Darigold is known for delivering fresh, high quality, value-added dairy products to people, & customer-driven solutions to organizations, all around the globe.
