Through its unique culture of iterative learning and improvement, OEF designs, tests, and partners to scale programs that help communities see problems in new ways and solve them collectively. With headquarters in Colorado and offices around the world, OEF operates as a portfolio of peacebuilding ventures, each with its own director, strategy, and budget. What holds them together is a common purpose: to provide an impartial platform for diverse stakeholders to form adaptive problem-solving networks for peace. At the foundation level, OEF provides the financial, strategic, and operational support needed to iteratively develop solutions to complex problems that could not have been designed in advance. About OSF: Our Secure Future: Women Make the Difference ( https://oursecurefuture.org/ ) (OSF) is one of OEF's semi-autonomous programs, and therefore upholds the OEF vision to achieve peace through governance. OSF believes that women make the crucial difference to achieving more effective governance and lasting peace. Our mission is to strengthen the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) movement to enable effective policy decision-making for a more peaceful world. Primary role: OSF seeks a full-time intern for a three-month period to assist the growing program's needs. This position requires the ability to multitask in a high energy environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. The ideal candidate will be proactive, patient and enthusiastic in wanting to assist OSF in their core work. The intern will work under the supervision of the Project Manager and Project Specialist doing administrative work as well as supporting long-term projects that contribute to strengthening the WPS movement. The internship is paid and full-time for three-months, with the option to extend pending organizational needs. Reports to: OSF Project Manager and Project Specialist Job type: Non-exempt, Hourly, Full-time (40 hours/week) during regular office hours), Temporary, May 2019-August 2019 with possibility of extension pending organizational needs. Location: This position is located at the OEF central office in Broomfield, CO. Primary Responsibilities: The intern will work on a range of projects including, but not limited to: * Update social media accounts ( i.e Twitter). * Collect data related to social media and website analytics, giving a report to OSF staff weekly. * Maintain OSF contact database, currently stored in both Salesforce and Excel documents. * Draft, edit and post monthly blog posts. * Provide research support to OSF staff as needed. * Provide administrative support to OSF staff as needed. * Provide concise and coherent responses to OSF staff requests for progress reports and updates. * Provide logistical support for local OSF events as needed. * Provide report-writing support to OSF team as requested. * Other duties as needed. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies: * Ideal candidate is working toward or about to complete a Bachelor's Degree with an academic focus in International Development/Social Sciences or a related field. * Strong writing and analytical skills. * Strong judgment skills. * At least 1 year of demonstrated research and writing skills. * Willingness to take initiative, work on different types of projects and tasks. * Ability to work independently and within a team setting. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and G-Suite. * Organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities. Highly Desired: * International work or study experience. * Familiarity with Salesforce, Monday.com, Smartsheet, and Zoom. * Prior non-profit work experience. Physical work demands: * Able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time; * Able to bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis; * Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. regularly.
