Intern will create work documents for civil servants/contractor workforce to perform and provide technical oversight to ensure tasks are performed in a technically correct manner. Student must be enrolled/accepted in an accredited educational institution. Student must be pursuing a degree in one of the majors listed under Education. Student must maintain enrollment at least half time as defined by the institution and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.9 on a 4.0 scale. Student is required to complete at least two full work rotations at the Center before graduation. The expected start date for this position is between May 13 and June 10, 2019. Students who indicate an expected completion date of less than one calendar year from their available start date will be found ineligible. The answers you provide in the NASA Supplemental Questionnaire will be used to make this determination. Qualifications This position is being filled at the GS-5 grade level. GS-05: Enrolled in a certificate program, associate's or bachelor's degree program and have completed at least 60 semester hours or at least 90 quarter hours of undergraduate education. Starting salary for the GS-05 level is $33,949 annually or $16.27 per hour. Education To be eligible for this position, you must be pursuing a degree in engineering, physical science, mathematics, life sciences, computer science, or other field of science at an accredited educational institution. Degrees in engineering technology are not qualifying for this position. Engineering degrees must be from a college or university school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum. Interns may be promoted to higher grades based on the amount of education completed and acceptable performance. However, promotions are not guaranteed.
