Kindergarten Apprentice Teacher Hoboken Charter School - Hoboken, NJ4.3 17 hours agoFull-timeEstimated: $42,000 - $56,000 a year Apply Now Hoboken Charter School (HCS) is accepting resumes for candidates to be considered for a kindergarten apprentice teaching position for the 2019-2020 school year. The candidate must have at minimum a CE/CEAS in elementary education by September 2019. Preference will be given to candidates with a TOSD certification. Our kindergarten class follows a co-teaching model in which both teachers share teaching and planning responsibilities and the apprentice teacher receives valuable mentorship from their co-teacher. This position is ideal for a candidate who is new to the teaching profession with potential for growth to a lead teaching position. We have a tight-knit and supportive school community and welcome new talent to our school. Our school has a mission of service learning and our instructional program focuses on teaching with a social justice lens. Our teachers teach within a framework aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, but have autonomy to create an inquiry-based, learner-center curricular program.
