Fall 2019 Financial Analyst Intern Internship San Antonio, Texas Apply Description The Rackspace Finance team is looking for a Fall Financial Analyst Intern with passion for the latest cloud technologies. This Fall internship is a part-time (up to 20 hours) of service weekly in our Corporate Finance department with the desire to extend to the Spring semester. Job Responsibilities Strong communication skills who can maintain a casual but professional demeanor and think critically about business processes. Excel skills should be strong to advanced, with understanding of formulas including VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH and SUMIFS, as well as formatting/conditional formatting and pivot tables. Basic SQL knowledge is preferred with strong interest in Data Analysis. Motivated and willing to take initiative. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Super organized with a strong attention to detail. An ability to produce quality work quickly. Pursuing a degree in finance, accounting or similar. Job Description: Learn how to use, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and Hyperion Planning. Become familiar with the structure of our financial statements at a global, regional, and BU levels. Gain an intermediate understanding of SQL and understand the reporting tables and data leveraged by the FP&A and Financial Operations team. Gain understanding of how the finance team uses these tools and views to manage our partnership with the business. Work with the finance teams to walk through the various reporting tools and reports going out to the business on a regular cadence and assist with the refreshing and analysis of these reports. Communicate with process owners to understand business processes and assist with requirement gathering for ad hoc report development. Work on projects as assigned by the Finance team.
