The intern will assist the Director, Assistant Director, and Academic Coordinators with various responsibilities such as: Schedule individual study hall hours and meet weekly with assigned student-athletes Create daily and weekly academic reports Supervise group study hall Assist with the monitoring of progress towards degree and eligibility requirements Aid in registration for student-athletes Refer student-athletes to on-campus services as necessary Serve as a mentor for academically at-risk student-athletes Assist with all aspect of life skills and community service programs Perform additional duties as assigned This is a 10 month commitment starting August 1, 2019 and ending on May 31, 2020. Position is full-time (40 hours/week) temporary without benefits. May require the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelors degree required Strong organizational and computer skills Excellent communication skills and experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends Strong interest in pursuing a career in intercollegiate athletics, specifically student-athlete support services Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position Preferred formal education or training, professional skills and work experience Masters degree Work Hours Work Days Monday - Friday, some weekends/evenings Hours Per Week 40 Type of Position Recruitment Range $11.00/hour Special Instructions to Applicants Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation.
