The Production Associate, under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, works to assure safe and quality food production to meet food safety standards, company quality standards and customer delivery requirements. Key Responsibilities * Daily prep for Food Production * Accurately weighs out food ingredients * Achieve and maintain daily safety, production and quality goals * Maintains accurate documentation as it pertains to food safety, quality, ingredients and batch production * Be efficient with daily prep for blends, production and clean up * Daily food processing, metal detection, packaging, pallet building to meet quality standards and customer need-by dates as assigned * Forklift proficiency and operation * Follow all safety and food safety rules within the organization * Cross training in the Warehouse Shipping/Receiving * Ability to work overtime, second shift, or weekends as required by production/customer requirement schedule * Identify and report quality issues and production bottlenecks to appropriate management * Perform production room and production equipment sanitation and pre-operational inspection according to the companys SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) * Other duties as assigned Work experience and personal skill requirements * One year experience in food production preferred (ingredient, beverage, food processing) * Able to follow and give directions * Good and timely attendance, rare missed days and call offs * Understand and accurately perform math percentages, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication as it relates to production * Ability to perform accurate weigh outs * Compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) as they relate to safety, quality and cleanliness. * Safely lift and move at least pounds throughout the shift * Safely able to push/pull 2000 pounds with a pallet jack * Strong teamwork skills * Perform any additional duties as assigned * Speak, read, write and understand English Education Requirements * Preferred High School Diploma/GED minimum. * Preferred one to three years in food processing facility Hiring not finalized until successful completion of references, background and drug screening.
