The Lions began league play in March 2015 and moved into their privately-financed downtown soccer venue in March 2017, becoming the first team in MLS history to open a stadium with five consecutive victories. With a season-ticket base in the 20,000 range, the 25,500-seated Orlando City Stadium experienced sellout crowds nearly its entire first year of inception. In November 2015, the Club announced its intention to bring professional womens soccer to Central Florida and launched Orlando Pride in National Women's Soccer League. The Pride began league play in April 2016 with a star-studded team of FIFA World Cup Champions. Position Summary:The Digital Marketing and Analytics Intern will report to the Director of Marketing. This position will work directly with the Director of Marketing to facilitate and maintain the Orlando City SC email and digital marketing strategy. We seek someone with a strong grasp of our culture, superior organization skills, an unequalled work-ethic and an analytical mind to help us achieve our goals.YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RECEIVE ACADEMIC CREDIT FOR THIS INTERNSHIP. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist Director of Marketing to develop, manage and implement the Club's digital marketing and e-mail strategies, with an emphasis on developing more targeted and relevant interactions with fans based on consumer segmentation and analysis of the customer database. Prepare comprehensive summaries of analysis results, capturing data driven insights in a compelling manner and offering recommendations to drive marketing strategy and shape current and future business processes that ultimately lead to improved ROI on marketing spend. Conception and creation of email templates (using Email Service Provider and HTML) including proofreading, editing, and updating copy for internal and external emails. Assist with LionNation, the Clubs membership program, fulfillment including management of member data and other deliverables. Assist with management and maintenance of the opt-in database. Assist with maintenance of the master email calendar. Researching and compiling evolving trends and technology. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be able to receive academic for this internship. Intern must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during the Spring semester (May 2019 through July 2019). MBA/Graduate level candidates preferred. Minimum of 6 months of sports marketing, digital marketing, data analytics or other related experience. Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects and timelines. Ability to evaluate data, determine trends, find opportunities and make recommendations. Basic knowledge of HTML coding. Copywriting experience and/or superior written communication skills. Familiarity with digital trends and technology, sports and popular culture. Exceptional analytical abilities; looking to push the envelope and develop and implement fresh ideas. Able to work game nights and non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
