The internship program exposes you various leaders and executives that will be able to provide invaluable knowledge and experience! POSITION PURPOSE: The HRIS Configuration internship provides current students with exposure to a business environment. The intern will work to develop different kinds of documentation. These include user manuals, information presentations, instructional texts and other sorts of writing. Technical documentation is being delivered as printed or/and online content. It often includes visuals, audio, animations, instructional videos and other aids. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Research a variety of assigned topics and develop writing plans and outlines * Assist in development of supporting materials (illustrations, tables etc.) * Provide quality assurance check for all document deliverables * Utilize appropriate computer software for document test production * Investigate and implement best ways to produce documentation electronically * Responsible for documentation for all areas of assigned work * Assist SharePoint maintenance and SOP documentation * Maintain documentation standards * Create/Maintain Quality Processes and SOP Documentation * Final Internship Project KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Education: Must be a Junior, Senior, Graduate or Doctorate student currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a Business or Communication degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA (required) Experience: Previous internship or relevant work experience preferred including experience in a communication role focusing on written communications in a professional matrixed organization or experience. Expectations: * Ability to work at our corporate facility in North Phoenix (I-17 & Loop 101) * Ability to commit to a full-time work schedule (40 hours/week) * Ability to commit to the full length of the internship program Skills: * Previous experience interacting, collaborating, and writing with cross-functional teams of an organization. * Previous documentation, communications, or content management working within cross functional project teams. * Knowledge of MS Excel, Word. Access a plus * Effective organizational interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to practice good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality * Demonstrates a high level of initiative and ability to meet deadlines * Demonstrate attributes that promote a positive, enthusiastic, creative, and caring team environment PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: * Sits for extended periods of time. * Bending, stooping and twisting required periodically. * Use of calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in an office environment TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 5-10% for offsite tours and intern social events Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by interns assigned to this job classification.
