Social Media Editor/Intern for Youth Sailing Organization Junior Sailing Association of Long Island Sound - Westchester, NY 7 hours agoPart-timeEstimated: $24,000 - $31,000 a year Apply Now Skills * Marketing * Social Media Management - The JSA of LIS is hiring an editor/intern for our social media channels during June - August 2019. As editor, youll manage the communications with sailors, families and coaches at youth sailing programs sponsored by the 42 yacht, sailing, community, beach and shore clubs that are members in the JSA. This job will be a great match if you have a gregarious personality to connect with people in our sailing community to encourage them to publish their activities on JSA's social media, website, blog or newsletter, editing material created by others, and creating your own content through reporting, writing and taking pictures/video. You may consider this editor role as a paid internship because former JSA summer editors have received college credit for this work, or have used this job as a springboard to post-college careers in journalism, communications, marketing, digital media and public relations. The editor may reside anywhere in the Long Island Sound region, and may work on a part-time or full-time schedule. - The JSA also needs freelance writers and photographers who can create content for our social media platforms year round, but especially during the summer. This paid freelance role will be ideal if you have a creative flair for reporting and writing, or creating and editing pictures/videos for a web site, blog or newsletter. We are particularly interested in feature articles, coaching tips, and stories about sailing events that may appeal to youth sailors and their families. The freelancers may reside anywhere.
