Job Description Ryan Companies US, Inc. has several exciting opportunities for Construction Project Engineer interns starting in January 2020! Project Engineer interns will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies. Interns will gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders while developing an understanding of jobsite coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety. Upon completion of the assignment, the student will return to school to complete their degree and/or may apply for a permanent position within Ryan s many different office locations! Successful candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week for an 8-month term. In order to fully learn this role and understand what it means to work for Ryan, eight months is the ideal length of time for such a position. Candidates should be within 18 months of graduating with an undergraduate degree in a construction related field. Candidates must have a general knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods, as well as the ability to perform mathematical calculations. Candidates must also possess the ability to read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural and engineering drawings.
