An internship with L3 Latitude is designed for students to gain meaningful work experience and learn more about an Engineering career area. The practical knowledge a student gains is expected to complement the theoretical knowledge he/she gains in a college classroom. The student is expected to both learn from and contribute to the internship program. This Engineering intern position at L3 offers a variety of opportunities including basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, integration and systems engineering. * Duties can include but are not limited to: performing analysis on existing flight hardware, assisting in the design and development of future hardware, performing analysis for both completed and future operations, test, systems engineering, integration, quality assurance, system safety, launch operations and production operations. * Activities can include but are not limited to: data analysis, software improvement projects, trade studies, design for manufacturer studies, creating or modifying tool designs, processing cause and corrective actions for non-conformances, maintain production work instructions, and component or integrated systems test. The student selected will support experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering. Qualifications Eligibility Requirements: � Candidates must be a US Citizen � Candidates must be pursuing a B.S. or MS in Electrical Engineering, Civil or similar Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace or similar Engineering, Operations, Mathematics, Physics or Related Engineering Technologies � Candidates must have completed at least 30 college credit hours and be currently enrolled as a full time student. � Candidates should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher � Candidates must have excellent communication and people skills and willing to collaborate with a diverse and dynamic team environment � Proficient user of Microsoft Office software � Hands on fabrication and CAD experience are desired but not required Candidates will be reviewed weekly. We expect to interview and extend internship offers within the next four weeks.
