The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Engineering Systems and Integration operating unit supporting multiple programs, primarily focusing on the closeout of a legacy missile contract. The selected candidate will work in a integrated team, interfacing with multiple disciplines including engineering, global supply chain and contracts. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other developers. The closeout of the legacy IPIC contract will require detailed data mining, analysis and reconciliation of historical accounting records. With the support of the team the successful candidate will research and recommend closure of specific contract line items and ensure all final bills from suppliers are accounted for. The successful candidate will also work closely with global supply chain to create purchase orders for the on going programs as well as assist in the long range strategic operating plan for the operation unit. As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of accounting, finance and general business managnment functions, specializations that may include: Roles and Responsibilities Develop and/or perform: Bi-weekly status reports Weekly cost reporting Unbilled Account Receivables Analysis and reconciliations Historical research Basic Qualifications: A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2019 Be majoring in a Business related degree, Accounting or Finance preferred Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile) Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2019 Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) Have working knowledge of excel and other Microsoft office products Preferred Qualifications: 3.7 cumulative GPA or higher Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
