In this internship, you will take point on one or two projects that are critical to supporting our infrastructure and application development teams. Success in this role will likely open the door for a permanent position as a Systems Analyst or Application Developer within Bray. A Computer Science or Management Information Systems degree is preferred, but outstanding candidates from other related disciplines will be considered. Prior internship or work experience, preferably in an information technology environment, will give you a leg up in adapting to our culture. A history of rising to leadership roles in student organizations or extracurricular activities, though not required, will give you an advantage. Depending on your skills and interests, you will be assigned to one of these roles during your internship: 1. In our Infrastructure Group, your mission will be to manage a variety of projects that relate directly to our user support operations. Examples of possible projects include: assisting with user support requests, installing computers, hardware and software, resolving problems with software products and systems, monitoring software tests on new and existing programs to correct errors, general debugging and assisting with hardware inventory management. 2. In our Application Development Group, you will take on one or two important development projects, in addition to sharing in the ongoing daily responsibilities of the group. Examples of possible projects include: analyzing, developing, and implementing application solutions at the code and database levels, working with end users to diagnose and solve application issues along with assisting with user support requests. Ideal Experience/Qualifications: * Must be actively enrolled in school pursuing a BS in Computer Science, BS in Computer Information Systems, BS in Management Information Systems or related field. * An understanding of object-oriented programming concepts. * An understanding of .Net Framework, C# and ASP.Net. * An understanding of relational database design concepts and Structured Query Language. * Familiarity with Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio. * Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred. * Must have strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. * Must have strong written, verbal communication skills. * Must be proficient with computers and have general knowledge of Microsoft Office software. * Networking experience strongly preferred. Additional Requirements: * Must be willing to work 20-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. * While performing the duties of this job, the individual may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. * While performing the duties of this job, the individual must occasionally life and/or move up to 25 pounds.
