We are seeking two undergraduate or graduate interns who are action oriented, are eager to try new things, and drive for results. These opportunities will provide personal development and exposure to various aspects of public sector finance and business operations while in partnership with seasoned staff mentors. These positions are anticipated to start in May or June, and will last through the 2019-20 school year or just the summer, depending on the candidate's school schedule and our business needs. During school breaks, the intern may work up to 40 hours per week and during school hours will be negotiated based on academic needs. Requirements & Wage Information Interns must be currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school. Intern II: $17.26-$21.87 [Undergraduate student] Intern III: $19.43-$24.63 [Graduate student] Our mission is to provide timely, efficient and accurate accounting, procurement, treasury, payroll, benefits and small business services. Learning Objectives Communications: Create and update our division-wide communications using SharePoint, Constant Contact, and other publishing tools. Communicate success stories around our Equity and Social Justice Work, Employee Engagement, Lean Initiative and process improvements, as well as update Director's Office Visual Board. Lean: Gain experience working with Division's Lean Specialist on various lean projects, organizing Lean Tours, division-wide events, and training programs. Special Projects: Support Division leadership by working on cross-functional projects including legislation, policy updates, employee engagement, Equity and Social Justice, and human resources. We are looking for candidates that are: Learners and eager to try new things and enjoy working in teams and willing to pitch in to help team members Have an interest in a public sector career, have fun and be responsible in a professional environment Are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite Have the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds Have predictable and reliable attendance Good time management skills that allows for you to successfully complete tasks Other Position Information: These positions are overtime-eligible. Our employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule, every other Thursday, normally between 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. These positions will be working from 20 hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week, depending on assignment area and school schedule. These positions are not represented by a union. Ready to Apply: 1.
