Interior Design Intern Toscano Interiors - Colorado Springs, CO 80911 Temporary Internship Toscano Interiors is looking for an Interior Design Intern to join our growing team of professionals. We are a innovative interior design firm that specializes in helping our clients create a conscious relationship with their spaces. We also have mastered the art of home staging working with some of the top Real Estate Agents in our State, and also offer design services related to new construction, renovation. We have a retail showroom that is open to the public daily; offering furniture, home decor, gifts, and monthly workshops. ABOUT TOSCANO INTERIORS: Toscano Interiors is an independently owned and operated interior design company. From its humble beginnings in 2011, small design jobs and repurposing furniture, Toscano Interiors has grown to take on more ambitious creative projects. PRIMARY FUNCTION Provide design assistance to lead designer. Assist with organization of resource library, participate in preparations for client presentations and meetings, shadow for on-site meetings and retail store as needed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Assist lead designer with projects when applicable. Client and job site visits and assisting with field measurements and note-taking. Support lead designers by ordering fabric & finish samples and requesting pricing from furniture and fabric reps. Research product alternatives for client projects. CORE STRENGTHS/ATTRIBUTES Self-directed but asks questions to learn and problem solve. Learns and advances from experiences and feedback. Owns execution of tasks and demonstrates excellent follow through. Communicates and listens effectively JOB REQUIREMENTS Must be currently enrolled in an accredited interior design program, high school students can apply if they are part of a school program like DECA or FBLA, to receive college credit (if applies) Desire to learn and work hard. Ability to take direction well and be a team player. Reside locally and have own transportation to Colorado Springs/Security. DESIRED REQUIREMENTS Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, CAD, Sketch up a plus. Previous customer service experience both in person and over the phone. General understanding of office procedures related to faxing, filing, courier services, etc. INTERNSHIP DETAILS OF EMPLOYMENT This internship is currently designed to be a temporary, unpaid internship not to exceed 16- 20 hours a week. This internship will be in Colorado Springs, CO. Weekly hours and schedule will vary depending on the interns schedule of availability and company work load. Ideally, candidate would be able to assist at least one full 8-hour day. The internship is an at will employment and may be terminated at any time by either party. While this job description accurately represents the current primary duties of the role, functions may be adapted as necessary to meet business need.
