Human Resources Intern -Post #: 6632 Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Human Resources Hours/Shift: Temporary positions; Full-time and part-time opportunities available. Salary: $15.00 per hour Description of Duties: The Human Resources department has multiple temporary opportunities for both full-time and part-time internships. We are looking for candidates with experience and/or interest in the following areas: Benefits(full-time)- will assist in the day-to day operations in the Benefits section of the Human Resources Department. Will provide support with gathering Workers' compensation claim information, creating various benefits reports, running audits and providing assistance with leave administration including compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other benefits programs as needed Employee & Labor Relations (part-time) -will Participate in and facilitate the resolution of employee & labor relations issues, including application of collective bargaining agreements and conflict resolution; Investigate reports of poor attendance, unsatisfactory performance and employee misconduct by gathering relevant documents, analyzing and applying applicable policies and procedures, interviewing witnesses, etc.and prerepare documentation necessary to administer the employee discipline process. Human Resources Systems Specialist (part-time)- will assist with running of daily audits for data validation and accuracy in the current ERP Lawson system; running of regulary scheduled reporting for distribution, compliance and other ad hoc requirements. Assists with maintainance and coordination of Human Resources systems and processes; runs, maintains and distributes Human Resources reports. Talent Acquisition/Employment (part-time)- will assist with daily recruitment activities including screening and review of resumes, review and audit of new hire paperwork; posting jobs (P) Please indicate on your cover letter which area you wish to be considered for. (P) Qualifications: Current matriculation in a Human Resources or Business Administration degree program The preferred candidate will have some experience/interest in the specific areas listed. The candidates should also have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
