What is the position?:We are seeking an Accounting Intern to join our Chicago office to aid with client invoicing, expense report processing, month-end closing processes, and administrative office tasks. This is a full-time (5 days per week) paid internship. You will be working closely with our Chicago Finance Director and will focus on financial tasks for the Chicago, Miami, and Washington, DC offices. This is a 3-6 month paid internship. What kind of skills are we looking for?Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or completed courses in Financial Accounting.Great knowledge of Accounting basics, such as debits & credits, and how transactions flow through the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.QuickBooks experience is a big plus.Must be good at Excel.Must be very organized and good at record-keeping.Ability to learn and master new software and productivity tools.Be innovative - Figure out solutions to improve administrative and finance functions firm-wide.You will work with people across different offices, so communication skills are a must.Timeliness and attention to detail.
