Transportation Demand Management and Bicycle Coordinator Intern Indiana University, United States Updated: about 22 hours ago Location: Bloomington, INDIANA Deadline: 03 May 2019 Position Details Position Information Position Title Transportation Demand Management and Bicycle Coordinator Intern Campus Bloomington Department BUDGETARY ADMINISTRATION-PLNG (BL-BAP-IUBLA) Department Information Job Summary Support the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Coordinator/Bicycle Manager with regular communications, program development, and strategic responsibilities. Coordinate outreach, communications, and marketing to the IU Bloomington community including faculty, staff, and students. Activate individual student involvement in the challenges and opportunities centered on multi-modal transportation options at IU Bloomington. This will include utilizing on-the-ground outreach and in-office research to build support for new and improved transportation programs and infrastructure. Provide ideas and feedback based on interactions and communications with the IU student and faculty/staff community as well as other collaborators. Deliver customer-focused communication and interactions with guidance from the TDM Coordinator/Bicycle Manager. Required Qualifications Excellent research and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze, compare, and evaluate data. Strong interpersonal, marketing, and communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to maintain strong relationships. Ability to develop or demonstrate an understanding of TDM theories and strategies. Enthusiasm and drive for making the world a better place. Interest in climate action, transportation issues, social justice, and community development. Preferred Qualifications Working Conditions / Physical Demands Requires 15-20 per week attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours. Salary Range $12-$15/hr.
