Hubject Inc. is a start-up based in Santa Monica that has an interoperability platform which enables EV drivers to roam, and therefore locate, access and pay at more electric vehicle charging stations. Hubject also has services to enable charging networks, utilities and automakers to be Plug&Charge-ready using the ISO 15118 standard. Through Plug&Charge, drivers can plug in their EV and the charge will start automatically. Hubject is offering a paid internship position on our multi-disciplinary team. The internship candidate will work to solve many challenges in the EV charging market. Working directly with the Director of Business Development for ISO 15118 to create an exciting future electric mobility concept, the internship candidate will analyze technical use cases, develop product/service requirements, conduct market research and record best practices for ISO 15118. We are looking for a Market and Product Research Internto support our team in Santa Monica during summer 2019 (start/end date is flexible depending on internship candidates schedule). Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Contribute to create technology concepts and strategies. * Research and analyze market conditions and trends. * Prepare presentations related to electric vehicle charging, smart charging and vehicle to grid. * Write reports based on research. * Work close with senior management on defined assignments in a small office start-up environment. * Possible conference attendance and networking opportunities. Qualifications: * Currently enrolled graduate-level students concentrating in Business or MBA, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar field of study. * Strong technical and analytical skills. Able to evaluate market research and data. * Interest in electric mobility, EV charging, industry changes/challenges, and new products. * Proficient in MS Windows Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. * Strong problem-solving skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work up to 40 hours per week. * Knowledge of EV charging a plus. * Knowledge of communication protocols a plus.
