It is a world leader in touring natural history and cultural exhibitions. We currently have two touring exhibitions in museums and science centers: The Real Genghis Khan in the US and Giant Dinosaurs in Europe. Our company recently has expanded into renting and selling full-size, affordable and scientifically accurate robotic dinosaurs to zoos, botanical gardens and other venues. 40 of our dinosaurs are currently at the Bronx Zoo in the exhibit, Dinosaur Safari. This exhibit is the largest outdoor dinosaur exhibit in the world. *Dino Don Lessem is an author of over 50 books for children and adults, a dynamic public speaker, advisor to Jurassic Park and Disneys Animal Kingdom, and excavator and reconstructor of the worlds largest dinosaurs. He has been a TV host and commentator for the Today Show, Good Morning America and _CBS Morning News. _ All internships are unpaid internships. All interns will build and strengthen skills and areas of expertise. At the completion of each internship, interns will have developed a strong portfolio for future job applications. Depending on the position, the portfolio will include writing samples, research documents, marketing proposals and campaigns, website analytics and/or sales statistics. Three to five days a week Education: Enrolled college students or recent college graduates looking for an educational internship opportunity. * Speaking Engagement Booking: Research speaking opportunities in the US for Don Lessem to present his experiences and knowledge about excavating dinosaurs, Genghis Khan and the traveling exhibition world. Assist in making a working document with contacts and communications for past, present and future bookings. Responsible for contacting institutions or venues and booking presentations for Don that fit appropriately into his calendar. * Social Media and Website Analytics: Should possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape. A successful candidate will be responsible for posting on and monitoring our social networks on a regular basis (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram), optimizing our websites' performance, and developing our blog presence and popularity. They will be responsible for gathering website analytics together and presenting stats to us on a weekly or bimonthly basis to monitor the progress of social media strategies and efforts. They will also work to increase our activity on online blog forums and build relationships with other bloggers. Overall they will participate in online outreach and promotion for our company. Those looking to gain valuable online media experience with an established organization are encouraged to apply. Preferred degrees/demonstrated areas of interest: Marketing, communications, social media, graphic design, writing, photography, videography, visual arts, art history, english, history, anthropology, museum studies. Experience: Our preferred candidates possess experience in a combination of the following: a wide range of social media platforms and social media marketing, marketing and advertising, web design, writing, blogging and experience/education and interest in museums and traveling exhibitions. Discretion, courtesy, integrity and sense of humor in a crisis are required. Transportation: The firm is based in Media, PA with limited access via public transportation. Car likely required.
