Chemours is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our team at the Fayettville, NC site. This position will report directly to an Area Manager and work with engineers to help gain hands-on experience. The successful candidate will work a full-time position of 40 hours per week from May-August. Eager students that are looking to be a catalyst for better are encouraged to apply. Chemours is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our team at the Chambers Works Site in Deepwater, NJ. This position will report directly to an Area Manager and work with engineers to gain hands-on experience. The successful candidate will work a full-time position of 40 hours per week from April-September 2019. Students that succeed in Chemours internship and co-op program are typically reconsidered for future opportunities within the company! The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: * Assisting engineers with product and process development * Process simulation studies * Evaluation of major unit operations and computer oriented assignments * Preparing Test Authorizations or Process Hazards Reviews * Participating in meetings, webinars, and conference calls * Working with, maintaining, and sharing material on Microsoft SharePoint Sites * Managing assigned projects, tracking progress, and communicating with mentor or co-workers as appropriate In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: * Current enrollment at an accredited university as a sophomore or above * Pursuing a degree in either Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering * Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Access * Ability to work with minimal guidance * Self-motivation * Good interpersonal skills * Work well as a team player * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Creative and independent thinker The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit: * Previous Engineering internship or co-op experience in the chemicals industry * 3.5 GPA or above Benefits: * Competitive Compensation * Affordable Housing Assistance (for specific roles) * Learning & Development opportunities * Strong Inclusion & Diversity initiatives WERE CHEMOURS.
