Software Test Intern Common Sensing - Cambridge, MA 1 day agoFull-time$17 an hour Apply Now Skills * Software Testing Would you like to work on a medical device product that helps people? Are you looking for a way to learn about medical device design - without having engineering experience? We are looking for an intern who can test our software by using it the same way a real user would. About Common Sensing Common Sensing (est. 2012) is a healthcare start-up creating hardware technology and data-driven services to support people using injectable medicine with an outstanding user experience. Check out our community at Industry Lab: https://www.industry-lab.com/community Responsibilities: * Run test protocols - Follow written instructions for using the software, and determine whether the software behaves the way the instructions say it should. * Edit test protocols - When the instructions are not clear, edit them to make them easier to follow. * File bug reports - When the software does not work correctly, write up what happened in a way that is clear and easy for other people to understand. * Collaboration - Work with software developers to make sure that they understand the details of software issues that you find. * Maintain documentation- Analyze documents related to medical device design, and edit them for wording and clarity. As familiarity with software grows, write new documents about the software. * Data collection - Follow instructions to collect data from injector pens. Skills and Abilities: * Meticulous attention to detail. Able to precisely follow detailed instructions for using software, and notice subtle problems with the software. * Eagerness to develop new software testing skills and to learn about medical device development. * Excellent written communication skills. Able to write clear and detailed instructions for using software. * Positive attitude and collaborative mindset with strong verbal communication skills. * Enjoys taking initiative and working independently . This internship is part of the MLSC Internship program (http://www.masslifesciences.com/programs/internship/), so interns must be either college students or recent graduates - including associate's, bachelor's, and master's students. Interns must either attend college in Massachusetts or be residents of Massachusetts. The pay rate for this position is $17/hour.
