What job title, keywords Where city, state, country Home View All Jobs ( 2,427,592 ) Job Information EMSL Analytical Inc Laboratory Summer Intern in Indianapolis , Indiana EMSL Analytical, Inc., one of the largest environmental testing firms in the United States, is currently seeking a Part Time *Laboratory Summer Intern * for its Indianapolis, IN laboratory location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preparation of environmental samples prior to analysis for Asbestos- Air Sample Prep, Bulk Sample Prep, Dust Silica Prep, Microbiology and/or Lead. Perform/assist with PCM Analysis. Lead sample analysis using FLAME AA. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment including but not limited to freezer mill, plasma asher, carbon coater, hood and water filtration set. Assist analysts to work with liquid nitrogen and compressed air. Dispose of analyzed samples. Good lab practice. Help with organizing supplies and keeping track of what is needed or running low. Other laboratory and clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, faxing, copying may be assigned by lab staff and manager as needed. Requirements: Associates Degree in Life Science or 2 years of college course work completed Bachelors Degree. One to two years of previous academic or commercial lab experience. Candidate must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis. Must be able to work independently and with a team. Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments. Must have good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills. Available Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. extra hours and/or weekend work may be required to meet business demands. This is a seasonal position, we are looking for interns to start at the end of May through August.
