Job detailsPosition title Industrial Engineering Intern Job type Standard Job description (external) TN Americas is seeking aIndustrial Engineering Internfor our Kernersville, NC office. The qualified candidate will be responsible for determining most effective ways to create a product or service. Develops ways to increase productivity, maximize efficiency, and manage human capital more effectively. Additional job responsibilities will include the following: Generate sequence of events (SOE) for manufacturing operations. Using SOE's, and pictures, develop Standard Operation Procedures (SOP). Video manufacturing operations. Perform time studies on operations using videos, SOE and/or SOP. Identify waste in manufacturing operations. Ultimately develop standard times for manufacturing operations. Providing solutions to optimize operations, using best practice methodology. Suggest ergonomic and safety improvements to processes. Qualifications (external) All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position: Pursuing B.S. in Industrial Engineering/Engineering Technology. A Master's degree may be substituted for 1-2 years of related work experience. A demonstrated background where quick thinking and problem solving plays a critical role. Excellent organization, planning and priority setting skills Ability to communicate well with regulatory authority and customers. Must have at least a 2.8 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Must have work authorization to work in the United States. Ability to learn a variety of new procedures, processes, and tools, while maintaining various stages of production. Proficiency with PC-based applications such as MS Office, Adobe, etc. Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
