SUMMARY Are you passionate about solving complex organizational and team effectiveness challenges to drive business performance? Do you want to help business groups navigate transformation and create value through new ways of working? In this role you will have the opportunity to help build Dolby's organizational effectiveness function and support priority projects focused on org design, change management, culture and leadership. You will work directly with a small but mighty People and Organization Development team and have the opportunity to partner with cross-functional HR teams to deliver high-impact, people-centered solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES * Create and adapt best practices, frameworks and tools in areas such as organizational structure and process design, stakeholder and leadership alignment, team effectiveness and change management * Support priority business interventions and projects to define and align culture, people, structure, and processes * Gather qualitative and quantitative data to understand organizational challenges, diagnose root cause(s), and co-create informed recommendations that influence client decision making * Create compelling presentations and artifacts that effectively communicate an overarching story and point of view * Pilot team and org effectiveness tools; create approaches for broader organizational rollout * Design and facilitate highly-effective meetings and working sessions to better understand org effectiveness needs * Build strategies to improve cross-functional collaboration and drive adoption of supporting systems, tools, and mindsets * Identify and engage global stakeholders to build growing org effectiveness community QUALIFICATIONS You are: * Inspired/motivated by helping people, teams and organizations achieve their full potential * A highly collaborative, relationship-oriented practitioner who can build credibility quickly with stakeholders * Experience (either through school or work) with organizational models/ theories and assessment/ data-gathering methods * Able to quickly build deliverables/work products and iterate based on feedback, using tools such as PowerPoint to logically organize and visualize your ideas * Intellectually curious; always willing to probe deeper to understand organizational behavior and performance * A highly skilled communicator with the ability to challenge the status quo in respectful manner to advance ideas * Able to plan and drive projects to achieve results as either an individual contributor or a cross-functional team member * A "go-getter"; able to execute with minimal direction and prepared to navigate change and ambiguity with patience, optimism, poise * Committed to gaining new experiences that further your career in OD/OE You have: * Ability to quickly learn how businesses make money and differentiate themselves, along with an appetite for learning all aspects of a company and its goals to inform consulting solutions * Practice (through academic or work experience) pinpointing organizational pain points, diagnosing root cause issues, and developing recommendations to close gaps * Experience navigating group dynamics, resolving conflict skillfully and surfacing difficult topics directly * Exposure to mindsets and methodologies such as human centered design and agile a plus, but not required ELIGIBILITY * Working towards a Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Organization Effectiveness, Organizational Development, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply * Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday for 3 months between May/June 2019 Aug/Sept 2019 Dolby will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of San Francisco Police Code, Article 49, and Administrative Code, Article 12 Equal Employment Opportunity: Dolby is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
