As the Intern, Graphic Design for the Oklahoma City Thunder, you will use and enhance the skills youve learned in pursuit of your major as you assist with producing a wide variety of graphic design requests. This internship provides an ideal training environment for a career in design or professional sports marketing. The Thunders in-house graphic design and marketing department serves as an internal agency to support company-wide marketing strategy. Our internship program provides practical work experience in a dynamic and fun environment as well as supplemental program activities designed to enrich your learning experience. This 8-week internship begins June 10, 2019. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Design and production on team-related projects including publications, ads, brochures, direct mail, posters, specialty advertising, invitations, outdoor campaigns, website graphics, etc. * Take part in multiple rounds of editing on any given project * Assist with maintaining and establishing design department policies * Participate in company-scheduled internship activities, lunch-and-learns and other intern program events * Maintain good attendance and punctuality * Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements: * Presently enrolled at an accredited college or university with junior or senior standing and approved by your school to receive internship credit * Students pursuing a degree in graphic design/fine art are preferred * Internship requires a minimum of 12 hours per week and will not exceed 30 per week * Possess an understanding of various printing methods and the steps by which digital artwork becomes a printed page * Experience using Creative Suite on the Macintosh platform working primarily in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop * Strong attention to detail and calm and organized approach to deadlines * Capable of working on multiple design projects at a given time * Strong customer service orientation allowing you to keep a professional and positive outlook toward teammates and vendors * Enthusiastic and successful at working in a team environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Primary work location will be the Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City This paid internship is a part-time position reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer.
