This job brought to you by eQuest Type: Full-Time Location : Richmond, California Job Description: SUMMARY This position is assigned to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Control Branch and is located at the CDPH campus in Richmond, CA. This positions primary responsibilities include conducting quality assurance review and data entry of congenital syphilis and/or prenatal syphilis cases and assisting with other SEAE projects as needed, under the supervision of the SEAE Chief. This position is funded through July 31, 2019. Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Support the coordination of day-to-day state and local activities around congenital syphilis (CS) prevention. Assist with Congenital Syphilis (CS) quality assurance, abstraction and data entry. Follow-up with local health jurisdictions on CS cases. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist with other STD-related projects as time and interest allows JOB QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking skills Ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with a diverse client group Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills, including professionalism, diplomacy and discretion Ability to perform data entry, data cleaning, and data quality assessment with attention to detail Ability to complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and work independently Demonstrated reliability and integrity Education/Experience Bachelors degree or higher in any field, required Completion of at least one undergraduate or graduate level course in public health, biostatistics, infectious disease, or epidemiology, required Pursuing a graduate degree in public health, preferred Experience conducting interviews with or working with patients or research participants, preferred Certificates/Licenses/Clearances None Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access preferred Experience working with protected health information and maintaining patient confidentiality, preferred Experience working in local/state health department preferred Experience working in sexual or maternal health preferred Proficiency in using online survey tools (I.e.
