Internship - Production Engineering (Electrical) Shelton/en-US/External/job/Shelton/Internship---Production-Engineering--Electrical-_JR-008873/apply Job Title Internship - Production Engineering (Electrical) Location(s) Shelton Internship - Production Engineering (Electrical) Part Time Spring Semester, Full Time Summer Responsibilities: nbsp; Assist with functional testing and analysis of newly developed products to ensure operation and reliability Operate electrical and optical test equipment, including meters, scopes, and computer-controlled testing Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of test failures for system level test as well as circuit card testing Assist with disposition of nonconforming parts (MRB) Assemble multi-level electro-mechanical sub-assemblies into complex assemblies using a variety of hand tools Assemble and disassemble test configurations as necessary Improve and document manufacturing equipment, tooling and processes Be willing to learn new technologies and procedures to remain current with industry standards and new products Position Requirements: Ability to analyze analog and digital circuit designs Ability to work on low level analog signals, microprocessor and analog /digital interfacing Willing to learn LEAN manufacturing concepts and apply knowledge to projects assigned Ability to use simulation and analysis tools in problem solving (e.g., PSpice circuit analysis) Familiarity with FPGA development tools for signal processing applications (e.g. Xilinx Accel DSP) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) Education: nbsp; Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering PerkinElmer is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
