Please include a resume and cover letter with your application. Essential Functions Intern will be trained in the areas of Software Development and Data use and given tasks that will strengthen and enhance their knowledge in areas that will also benefit the City of Boise. The goal of the first couple weeks is to provide a foundational understanding of Software Development on the Microsoft Stack (.net, C#). During this time, design, development and security will be discussed, followed by tasks that will reinforce training. Following the training, a project(s) will be chosen based on the needs of the organization and the skill-set of the intern. Requirements Completed 12 credit hours of coursework related to software development. Appropriate coursework may include topics such as: programming, algorithms, C#, Java, C, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, databases, security, cryptography. Enrolled as either a Junior or Senior Superior Candidates: Superior candidates will have experience with: SQL Object-oriented language (C# or Java) Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Experience with Microsoft Windows Special Requirements All applicants must be able to successfully pass City of Boise background check processes which include reference checks and criminal history checks.
